  • Trying to find power

ok well I am not to knowledgeable when it comes to a Festie...nor is my friend. We are talking about doing a big stereo in it and we would like to also hop up the motor. I know that I asked this question before...however I am asking more detail. What is the best way to make a Festiva faster? I know that people said "B6" (at least that is what I think that they said) If that is is what is that...what is the best way to go about getting that? How much is that & what are the gains. I am sorry to be dumb about this but I know nothing about these cars...Now if you asked me about a Pontiac Grand Prix, I could tell you about anything that you would want to know. That is why I thought about just doing a swap in it. I know that that would be alot of work however I would know what was there and what I had. Either way I know that I asked these questions before how ever I am looking for a few detailed answers so that I can figure out what we are going to do with this car.
    thanks in advanced.

not trying to be , well not sure what you want to call it but there is all the info you need in the swaps section of the site....turbo swaps, n/a engine swaps....just about anything you can think of has been answered over and over again in those sections.

      B6T Swap wiring guide

B6 Swap pictures and a good guide on how to get a good running engine

I've got those saved in a word file so when the question arises, BAM!, Copy and paste.

B6: pretty much plug and play--->nice daily driver
B6DE: A little more work, kinda like the Festiva GT that has never been
B6T: 1 mount to fab, wiring, upgraded clutch and fuel pump, intercooler fitting, can get away for a period of time with the stock tranny but preferably use the G25M-R with 323 GT/ Capri XR2 axles and intermediate shaft with custom mounts
B8: not much wiring, a little custom fab
BP: One of the best performance/dollar/fab ratio (a little wiring, 1 mount to fabricate if you are using the Festy's stock tranny, upgraded clutch, and firewall work)
BPT: Pretty much the ultimate; you have to fab up engine and tranny mounts, as you have to use a G25M-R from 323 GT/ Capri XR2 with axles and intermediate shaft (anything less and you'll be asking for trouble), most of the wiring, fuel pump and fitting the intercooler
For anything else, you're pretty much on your own.

Anyone, please feel free to correct me.
The left lane? Are you crazy!!! I never drive in the left lane...It's full of freaks driving the wrong way and charging right at you!!!
