  • Festiva Motorsports High Durometer trans mounts...etc.

While I was doing my coil-over conversion, and swapping out my tranny, I decided to use FMS's competition transmission mounts, and control arm bushings, as well as the competition strut mounts. I also put new TRW control arms/ball joints in.

I got to drive it today, and WOW what a difference.

It vibrates, so I am not sure I would do it to a daily driver, but since this is my autox car, I didn't care.

BUT, the engine/transmission is SOLID, it feels great. Coupled with the slicks, it has such a tight feel! The power comes on immediately, no lag, no engine/tranny movement, etc.. new ball joints/control arms too...

I highly recommend these mounts for anyone that races at all.

I can't wait to race it, and get it out on the streets for an extended test drive.. but it has never felt so tight.. it IS a little harsh, but the feeling of the power getting to the ground so quickly is a bit intoxicating, like a go-kart.. I wish it was a worked over BP!!!

before you get too happy with that, do yourself a flavor and fill in the front trans mount with urythane. i also run the hi-duro mounts and the front trans mount is flexing quite a bit after only 2 years. i'm going to fill mine in as well in the spring while i have the block out for a rebuild/blueprint.

Yeah, I was going to do that to the upper mount for sure, since they don't sell it in High durometer... but the front lower mount would be a good one to fill too.. 2 years? I am sure I will not have this engine in for two years... LOL...

When my old ones came out, the front one was still in pretty good condition, but the rear was trashed..(stock)

It was the control arm bushings (arm to sway bar) that were REALLY trashed.. all in all, it's a WHOLE lot tighter now.. night and day.
