  • quick question about swaping

will a engine and tranny out of a aspire fit and i mean bolt right up in to a festiva? if not what do i have to get it to work?

Your in the wrong section there are threads for swapping turbo and N/A engins below the Custom Engine & Drivetrain section. Also use the search feature. I'm sure there are countless posts about this.

^^ Actually he is in the right section. YOU have been on the forum for less than a month, so please leave correcting post to moderators.

Yes, the engine and tranny will work in the festiva. The only problem you will have is the front tranny mount, they differ between the two cars where the mount bolts to the tranny. From the way I understand it, it is an easy fix if you have both the festiva and the aspire mount when you do the swap. Use the festiva mounts at the other two mounting locations. You may have to swap a few sensors, depending on the year of the aspire. Some aspires were OBD II, so that might make a difference.

yeap, technically its not really a swap since its the same motor just different sensors, so this is the correct forum for it.

the N/A swap forum is mine, and we generally dont stick to the 1.3's hehe

Sorry just trying to point him in the right direction since I didn't have an answer. I was just thinking since he was wanting to swap a N/A engine that would be the place to find help on it but I'll just keep my mouth shut next time. Your right, that's what mods are for.
