  • New Clutch

Spent the afternoon putting in a new clutch in my BP festiva. I got a stage 1 clutch from www.specclutch.com. $199, came with the clutch, pressure plate, throw out and pilot bearing. Quality looks good. Only time will tell how it works.

I did drove it around and it does grab better especially when going into 2nd. My stock festiva clutch would slip a little bit when going to 2nd gear. Pedal effort is slightly harder but I think my stock pressure plate springs are worn.

    Here is a pic:

nice clutch...my clutch is not going to last much longer and i was wondering.....you have to pull the motor for the clutch right? i was told that you have to pull the motor and trans out all at once to change the clutch...right?

Leave the tranny in there and pull the engine or pull the cross member and drop the tranny out the bottom and leave the engine in. My trans cross member cannot be removed, I had one of the captive nuts spin inside. So it's easier to pull the engine for me.
