Will a short shifter from an Escort or Protege work as a drop in mod? If not how much modification would it require or is it just not worth the time. Nathan

it fits, the only real diff is the way the stick is angled. It might not be as far towards your arm as it would be in a protege/escort, but yes it will bolt in without a hassle.
The pacesetter short shifter roger sells on FMS is actually a 89-92 probe/mx6 one. You can find those on summitracing for like 70 shipped i think, unless they jacked up the prices againWil
