I turbo'd my b3 back before I wadded the car. It was okay. I used a garret t/3 from a saab 9000 with a .48 A/r on it. Ran it through a starion FMIC. Made a adaptor from the stock manifold to the turbo and had a custom downpipe made that would mate to the stock aftercat location. I used a vortech rising rate fuel pressure regulator(8:1) with a J&S safeguard for ignition control. Using a manual boost controller and a used BOV from a DSM. I drove this every day on pump gas(89-93 octane) at 6 psi. The car didn't suffer at all and was a blast to drive. Wasn't going to kill any V-8's but you'd be hard pressed to find a stock 4 or 6 cyl that could keep up. I also had a ported head, 3 angled valve job, ported intake/exhaust manifold and advanced ignition timing before I turbo'd it(stock timing after).
Fast, fun and good gas mileage. 91' Festiva(RIP) and 96' Aspire(RIP). The website is no more.

Sempronius(bottom of skaneatles lake) just outside of Homer NY. I worked at BBuy in the mall in Lansing for 3 years. You might have seen her there a few times. Been doing the festiva thing for quite the few years. I have a bunch of pic posted on my site www.geocities.com/festivagt . I get out towards watkins glen at least 5 or 6 times a year. You ever get down to ithaca at all?

My girl lives near SUNY Albany. I get out that way at least a few times a month. (Until she gets done with the job she is at.) But yeah a gathering might be cool. I make my own schedule so I guess it would be up to when you both could get some time to coincide. Not only that, where to meet?

Too big? The smaller .48 compressored turbo worked alot better than the .60 I intially used. I ran the .48 WITHOUT fail. Spooled by 2400rpm and held 6 psi without a problem. I am sure that it could have boosted the 1.3l alot more than it did, but I did not want to break the weak kneed bottom end (lotsa detonation between 7-8 psi). They use the .60 on 1.5l hondas ALL THE TIME. I went with the .48 because I liked the quicker spool up time. The .60 spooled by 2700 rpm. Since I wan't using the garret super .60(ballbearing) It might have caused a bit of lag. I noticed on a 1.5l eagle summit I boosted that the ball bearing turbo (identical to the non bearing unit) spooled about 300 rpm's quicker when I compared the two. So If I had the ball bearing unit when I boosted the festie I might have left the super .60 in it. But hey, I didn't waste about 3 weeks(after work) of my life trying different combinations just to find out that what I was using couldn't be improved on.

somebody was/is selling a turbo setup that he claims will work on both the 1.3 (with some work) and the 1.6. from an 88 Thunderbird 2.3

Ends today, I think. But, could give you some ideas
