or for that matter, auto trans final drive gears into a 5 spd aspire?

no, there is no interchangability of parts between auto and manual trans'.

BUT the final drive WITH pinion shaft/gear will swap between manuals

it's just ALOT easier to buy a trany with the gearing you want

The way they achieve the final drive ratios is this: the aspire ring gear is a 69 tooth coupled with a 17 tooth pinion making
it a 4.05 ratio.
The festy ring gear is a 68 tooth coupled with
a 18 tooth pinion gear making a 3.77 ratio.
Everything else inside the (manual) transaxle is exactly the same, and all the parts are interchangable.
