  • Clutch Disc 7-7\8" Dia.:Festy Spline?

Getting ready to install B6 DOHC into festy, Looking at the Miata Flywheel and pressure plate I have sitting on the floor an wondering if you could get a clutch with the larger diameter of seven and seven eights inches diameter but with the Festy spline size?
    Anyone tried this?
Aspires and Sways all around, Miata B6 installed, KYB G2Rs just installed in front. Wish for coil overs someday.

Who here has installed the suzuki clutch on thier car? What has to be done? I found a could performance clutches and want to know how I would go about putting them on...

Does that only work for the DOHC B6? or can it be done for the SOHC as well...

you'll need to have the flywheel flat-milled and ground, and drilled to accept the Swift pressure plate. You'll also need to clearance the bell housing of the trans and the starter nose, as they'll interfere with the larger pressure plate.

FB71, I have the Miata pressure plate that bolts to the Miata Flywheel. All I should need is the Friction disc between the two, right?

no clue on that one. I don't think the Miata flywheel is the correct diameter (too large for the Festiva bell housing).

Correct , Miata flywheel diameter is too large for festy bellhousing...

You should be fine using the stock clutch, people have run BP's for quite some time under normal driving conditions on a stock clutch.

Yes, go to the gym and work on your leg muscles. Always seemed to work for me whenever I got a stiffer pressure plate....

I always wondered why my left pant leg fit tighter than my right. Now I know why.
