Don't think you can fit A/C in a BP swap.
    Right?

sounds like i should just buy a US spec one and turbo it.
Yeah they do pop up on ebay from time to time but you should go to importers. Seeing as your in cali that makes it easier for you.

On the gtr subject yeah world wide they only made 2500 & 300 GTAe which were the built to rally. Gtx's on the other had can be had fairly easily.

Ok nice im wrong on everything. I don't need to know the details of all engines to stick with the philosophy if it came with a turbo it can use a larger turbo. I know for damn sure you do not turbo a ford lima engine w/o rebuilding it, nor do you do that type of thing on a chrysler. If the guy is asking for safe buy one that came turboed.

        On 91 pump gas+boost 8:1 vs 9:1 compression is a big deal.

          very helpful link TrueBoolean...thank you.

i think im either going to go B6T or BPT (if i can find one) rather than bldg my own turbo kit for an N/A BP. would like to get it in and running sooner rather than later and these motors all seem to be great candidates for decent power without having to tear them open.

i found a 323 GT for $500 but the car isnt running. anything i should be worried about in buying a 323 over a Capri? Are there any year differences i should worry about (other than smog issues we have here in CA)? The 323 is an 88 and the Capri would be a newer car 91-94 obviously. Just dont want to get an 88 323 GT if its not going to work for some reason/requires more work than a getting a Capri.

Thanks again for all the help!

and i dont plan on keeping my AC w/ any of these swaps so that will be up for sale at some point. if it happens to fit, cool, but im not planning on it. need to make room for my intercooler and wouldnt mind having room for a bigger turbo down the line possibly. it stays relatively cool and I prefer having my windows down anyway...i love CA sometimes =)

thanks for clarifying but im either going B6T or BPT for sure so doesnt matter too much in my case but good to know. going to look at a BPT tomorrow morning and pray that it came out of a GTR...haha. =)

im also going to stay away from an older 323 b/c if im going to have a car that cant pass smog here in CA i might as well go w/ the BPT. if im going to smog im getting a capri.

thanks again for all of the help guys.

last question, does anyone on the board sell motor mounts for either of these applications?

I dont think anyone does. Simply because theyre pretty much custom and everyones is slightly different.
