I’m looking to get a fuel injected, five speed with A/C Festiva. I’m having a real hard time finding the right one here in Arizona. Any way, I’ve found two that would have worked for me but they had auto transmissions. I’m seeing posts about all kinds of tranny stuff but nothing about swapping a auto to manual. I plan on getting a donor car along with my driver so having a driver with an auto would be ok if the donor has the manual I want just as long as the swap is not a hassle. So my question is, what parts does take to make this swap? Will the auto car need surgery to make the manual swap? Any cutting, welding, drilling, big hammers, chain saw, etc?

I've had an automatic for two years now. I didn't think I'd like it that much, but I do now.
Come on over to the lazy side of life! It's a myth that you'll turn into a couch potato or lose your job because you stop shifting for yourself.
Of course I was lazy before I got my auto!

Gforcefd, I did a search before I ask out loud. I found out all kinds of info on all kinds of other stuff about automatics and manual trannies. Only one post that I could find about swapping to manual. It was very basic in listing the parts needed for the swap and the person had never done it them selves. Since the topic has been covered "way to much" perhaps you can provide me with the link to all this info. Since I'm too dumb to find it myself. Please tell me who is the "we" that is doing all the insisting? Maybe they can give me some good info.
