I'm new to this project, but I've been interested in turbo'ing the b3 for a while. Any idea when the manifold will be available and for how much? I want one.

I offered a deposit so he could gather materials to get the ball rolling and he said no. Let's just wait and see. The way it looks there are at least 2 floating around between his and 187's cars. Maybe 3 if t25 and t3 flanges are different?

were waiting on materials we just wanted to have some already fabbed up for when people want to order them. We should be getting parts soon and get some built

I'm gonna get a kit for my B6 and only run 5-7psi, I just need to find someone to build the exhaust and that will help give me the extra power I want. Not crazy power, just about 50hp

i was checking out the honda/acura downpipes and turbobacks already available. very affordable. worst case is maybe cut the pipe and reweld here and there. definately a lot less than paying a muffler shop to do something from scratch. will have to see the finished manifold. most o2 housing/downpipes dont have a internal wastegate provision but some do. i just live too far away to buy those parts and throw them at ketchup to see if they fit. another bonus if you buy honda designed pieces and no longer have a use for them, they will resell easy.

Will it be available with a t3 flange? I wonder if my .42/.48 t3 turbo I had on my miata would work on the little b3?

                    Hey

I had a festiva back is 98 or so, put the same T25, mine was out of a DSM used the factory B3 manifold(creative welding and a flange). Haha, used a second set of injectors and used the factory one's to run them only when boost came on. You really need a better fuel pump I would say motor had 250000km and blew up after a month but not mechanical, just rings were shot when I bought it. I ran 11 psi it was quick and beat alot of cars on the highway. The major problem is the clutch(or the new gas pedal) you have to use it very carefully to put power to the tranny, then the factory tires just smoke if you get it right.

I should have made a kit but I was not on this board at that time.

                    Thanks

evo, did you just use the sinktrap method? that would work on our cars easy as well but i think larger exaust pipe coming off the head is necessary at a certain point.

Nice job on the manifold, that heavier pipe is a must. There's a vendor at "home made turbo" that will make flanges out of gaskets for very cheap. He also sells heavy weight "tee's" and "ell's" for fabricators like you. These guys on this site, and the site itself, are pretty rugged. They got some great rules to keep noobs/BSer's (reads eye-of-ra types) in line...Check it out.

                          turbo manifold prices

I should get the tees i ordered this week sometime and they are 1/8 inch thick and the same material as the 90s. The manifold we made for 187's car is a t3 flange but its a t25 turbo with a t3 flange for a special application i guess. I would say that your 42/48 ar t3 would work well they are relatively small but it will pull hard top end. I have been trying to get the ball rolling on the manifolds but i work and have a few projects going. If you want a manifold send me an aspire tube style manifold or just the head side flange(you can cut off the tubes and lower flange to save on shipping) if you do this i will send it back for $220. If you cant find an aspire tube manifold you can send a custom flange or i will charge $270 to supply the flange and build it. I might be able to get a lower price if i can find a local guy to burn some flanges but for now i have to go to the junk yards. The stock cast manifolds are not useful and will not count as a core. these are the prices and they include shipping to the 48 states. if you want to purchase a manifold PM me for my address or my number..

I was wondering if you just put your oil lines in the back of the motor where the pressure sensor was and then did you just put a tee in for the pressure sensor.

yeah thats what we did. The "T" into the block and the oil line off that and the oil pressure sending unit off it as well
