  • $666 universal turbo kits on ebay

The devil is involved so we will blow up? That is a lot of piping intercooler and fittings included that add up. The turbo is too large for a b3/b6, but not for a 1.8. I have a lot of parts left over from unfinished projects so I dont need a kit, but whats the quality of this stuff? China? Pieces of the piping break off and get sucked in? LOL.

i haven't bought a kit like this, so i can't speak from actually physically looking at the pieces, but from what i can tell, you get what you pay for.. $666 is pretty cheap.. yes, it would probably work, but reliability and just cheapness would be an issue. I'd like to hear from somebody who bought a setup like this to see what they said about it though.

-"Hairlipstiva" 1991 GL 5spd (swapped from an auto), rolling on Enkei 14x6 +38 with 195/45/14 Toyo's, Jensen MP5720 CD deck, tach install, LED strip in cluster, down position rear wiper, FMS springs, Gabriel shocks on 4 corners, Acura Integra short shifter
-Escort GT 91 donor car with BP, G5M-R tranny to be dropped in the little guy...
      -Aspire brake swap COMPLETE!

Yeah i already have a few intercoolers and just need something smaller than a t3. Mani as well. Hopping from one turbo community to another pays off. Sort of like i never need to buy more than a few things to put in another stereo.

It looks like it might be a good base kit. Def nothing to put more than 7-10psi on. As it says in the description it is a base kit. The exhaust manifold does present a problem. I wonder if you only push 5-7psi on it if you'll need to worry about the ECU not being able to keep up with the fuel demand.

Yeah the turbo is likely junk. The fittings, gaskets, flanges, lines, and the nickel and dime stuff is what i find worth looking at. Need to find the budget sellers of those things. Even the reputable $2000 turbo kit suppliers are known to screw people and make them wait over things so frivilous as bolts & washers.

ketchup's threads show hes making 9-10 psi with just injector oversizing. i plan to find a b6 and do something pretty much like him, with a heavy dose of water/meth injection (yet another turbocharged car leftover put to good use)

I still feel it might do the trick for a small amount of boost. I'm not looking for a real punch of 200+HP I'm just looking for some kick to get me through the gears faster.

Thats what i was thinking. It may be worth if it came with a manifold, but not as it is.
