Gear Box Ratio Question

Hey all, i have the kia pride lx 94. I swap my b3 and install the b5 DOHC engine, every thing else is stock, gear box and flywheel.

i discovered that by using the stock flywheel (b3 flywheel ) i got a lighten flywheel setup by accident and i'm very happy, but i now notice that i will eat up gear 1 to 3, but gets kindda sluggish in fourth not to mension fifth gear.

1 to 3 gears give me very quick acceleration, which i want to keep but i would like a faster fourth gear, which gear box can i use, but i don't want to change the flywheel.

the trans you have (i believe) is the same as our aspire trans. 4th and 5th gears are overdrive gears and ment for highway use. going to any compatible trans would put you in a worse position than you're in now as they have lower final drive ratios than what you have now. i think you're in need of more power!

so you're saying that the box is ok, so any simple ideas for power.(recession don't want to spend too much).

you say you have the b5, correct? i'll have to look into that, but i would start with the exhaust (1.5" is too restrictive)
