      I have a set of ngk bpr5es and tried your gaping setting and it backfired a lot while decelerating, so I went back to stock setting .044. What is the cause of that back fire?

            from what i know its 1 7/8ths from the cat back... and i think the downpipe is the same...

              it's 1.5" ID just so you know.

                  hehe, no prob. most replacement pieces will be that 1 7/8" dia. but the factory unit is smaller (DOH). strange thing is, the new civics with the 1.5 use the same size pipe as the festy (1.5").

                    mine had 1.5 inch piping for EACH tube comming off the head when i built my header lol...

                        made alot more top end power tho... and it was still the stock mid pipe in the car so if i went and got a 2 inch mandral bent pipe and took out the cat i bet it would have made even more power...

                                would say 60-70 cfm int. 110-140 ported
