If I upgrade my b3 ecu to a b6 ecu will it makes more power?

Hello

I have a b3 engine. If I upgrade my b3 ecu to a b6 ecu will it makes more power? Does it makes better gas mileage? My engine have a cone air filter and a straight through exhaust. And does it plugs straight away with the b3 wiring plug of the b3 ecu?

I wouldn't think so as the power increase comes from larger displacement, not any tuning, but I'm not certain. As far as comparability is concerned yeah they should be a plug & play thing.
