New clutch masters clutch

i have a 1992 festiva with the b6a (out of a mercury capri) motor swap with an SVO mustang turbo on it.. pics on my sight... it was the original festiva transmission and original flywheel. the flywheel is machined to fit the suzuki swift clutch.. so i called up clutch masters and asked them what i needed so they pointed me in the direction of the FX400 6 PUCK clutch.. (they new there stuff) but the dow pins werent letting the clutch fit right so we took them out the risk of doing this is throwing it of nothing seems to be wrong.. then tried to put the new clutch in it was about an1/8 of an inch off all the way around from fitting in the flywheel so i took a bench grinder and grinded it down all the way around now it fits in perfect.. and works great!! i love this car bc from the transmission being on the ground to bolting it on it took about 1minutes and 38 seconds. and the tranny only way about 25 lbs..

i just took my old motor apart. i fried 2 pistons and the rings. i have another motor ready for it i just need the money to go get it then i need to custom make a manifold. it should be running this summer i hope. i just put a civic short shifter in it today also.

A 6-puck that ISN'T a solid disk!! Had I but known....

I've gotta ask... how's the friction zone on this thing? The last car I drove that had a 4-puck solid disk had like 1/2 inch between disengaged & fully engaged! A real pain to drive in traffic.

What's the price difference between the ACT and the Clutch Masters clutch?

Yeah, how bout some prices, and what is the circumference of that disk? Is it larger than the stock size of 7.5". Did you have any bell housing clearance issues?

its grinded just a little bit as well as starter nothing crazy / euro bought it origionally i think after machine work and price of clutch it was almost 500

Yes just had to grind around the outside of the rim and it will fit perfectly into the flywheel mine clutch was about 500.. Got it from jsc speed
