    Do I really want to stick with a carb?

    So up until now I was planning on a weber carb for my car.. But recently we've had some cold weather and the factory carb is GARBAGE! It starts hard, gets poor mileage, and is gutless when cold. Is this just a typical carb? Or would a weber be better?

    Right now I'm thinking about efi

    if reliability and good mileage are what youre looking for... then you want fuel injection. i would think that a weber would be more temperamental than a properly setup stock feedback carb

        ^ i could go for a bj... motor that is :evil4:

        efi is the way to go... its way better than a carb... the only thing thats carb has over efi is less wires....

          The car has sensor issues likely in the coolant temperature vein. There are trade offs for both....and it seems from everyone on here it varies with each of us here on the site. Some wouldn't have a carb setup if it was given to them, and I prefer them. Go figure.....

            I have never had any trouble with a Weber carb. I just gave it up when I graduated to Mikuni carbs.The goal: No computer controls.

              ^ Right, Webers are much simpler than stock carbs. Easier to deal with and very tunable. But EFI is better. I do like the very clean engine bay that a Weber would give tho.
