1.3L Aspire engine swappable into '88 Festiva LX?

A little update on the engine itself: It seems to be an EFI engine. So far from what I've gathered is we'll need the crank pulley from a '93 Festiva, the wiring harness from the Aspire, and the ECU that goes to the engine.. Going off of what Damkid said, I believe he means that we'll need a way to drive the mechanical fuel pump..?

I'm not quite sure. What exactly am I missing, and what would need to be done to make this successful?

If your planning on running the EFI then you will need an electric fuel pump. A mechanical pump won't provide high enough fuel pressure for the EFI.

Would an electronic fuel pump also require different fuel lines to accommodate?

And, to modify the Aspire EFI engine to the carborator wouldn't actually require much effort, if I hear everyone correctly?

Yes the easiest way to swap the aspire engine in your car would be to swap the manifolds from the festiva engine onto the aspire and keep it carbed.
