are you joking? 540 to 560hp? thats quite the goal... im not saying it cant be done, but thats asking ALOT form a 1.3L lol... if you can make that power from a 1.3L that will be awesome!!!

ya, thats awesome!!! i would love to see a 1000hp 1.3L but chances are they had EVERYTHING done out to the max... the more i think about this the more things that i think of that will go wrong, like the head wont flow enough to support that amount power... if he can make new pistons and rods to hold some good power, the crank may just explode lol... but there is also good things... the b3 block is a thick wall block so it may hold the power without the block cracking... thats the only thing i can think of lol...

the crank IS forged... as are the rods... new pistons are a must though.

i know its forged, but i dont think the crank will hold much more than 400hp...

Look at a hayabusa bike engine. They can make huge power on stock internals. I think that huge power can be had with a b3 but you have to be able to Fab like this guy. Great work BTW.

PLEASE start making BP intakes, that allow for more room in the engine bay, and get rid of the butterflies in the tracts. I'll be the first to send you $$ when your ready.

sorry guys the b3 crank is cast! the rods are forged though. In my experience (cost not being a factor) the physical limitations of an i.c. engine is around 1000 hp per liter. hp is not what destroys an engine , rpm ,cylinder pressure, harmonic frequence is! If ican get nearly 2500hp froma modular ford 500 in a b3 is a low goal.

Why??? it gives you the long/short runners you need for different power requirements and you can hook the vics up to a hobbs switch for boosted applications for a proven hp boost.

                          540 HP @ 6500 RPM?

                          From 1.3 Liters?!?

I'm not saying it can't be done with 1.3 Liters, but I have my doubts about getting that from a B3

The best I've heard of from a B3 is 105 HP, so if you make 1/4 of your goal, I'll be very impressed!

My thoughts exactly. A simple BP intake that would allow for more firewall clearance, with slightly shorter runners to reduce low end (wheel spin) and the TB pointing to the passenger's side! Oh.......and for about $150.00
