  • carb to FI swap

My carb to FI swap just got done and started. It is in need of being timed, but works. It stumbles when driving but I think it is the timing I will know in a day or 2. So it can be done! just remember Git-R-Dun!

Please make a list of parts needed and possibly a how-to so that we can post it up. Alot of ppl have been asking about this and whether or not it can be done and what's needed so hopefully this will end all those threads. -Kyle

I have to mount my windhield washer res. and my antifreeze res. then I'll take some pics. When I take some pics I'll write a how to and submit it for posting. ATM it has one problem but I think it is timming I need to get a timming light to diagnose it. However I will submit a parts list right now, and it'll b in the how to. I did a head swap as well. Head with complete fuel injection. Vaccum sensor on firewall. Charcoal canister. fuel pump. fuel pump shut off switch. old sending unit gasket. full wiring harness underhood, main, and rear. ecu. thorotal cable. relays. I think that is it so far. oh yeah patientce!! the only problem with mine so far is it has a bad hesitation when you drive it. I think it is timing i think my cam may b off a tooth. Oh yeah disty and ignition components by the strut are needed. If any one has questions let me know!
