  • OBX Headers

Has anyone used the OBX headers? They sell them on eBay, but I wasn't sure if any of them would work on a 1.3L? I also couldn't tell if they may have one that would work on a b6t? I see they have a nice one for the BP swap guys.

Just wanted to see if anyone could shed some light on the subject for me.

My brother bought OBX shorty headers for his 2008 Nissan Frontier and he loves them. He has had them for about a year and a half and they look and perform great.

clean welds, yes, but very thin welds. had to braze several sections of weld on an OBX cat-back system on one of my coworkers cars. i feel they're lacking in quality.

but dont forget, turbo manifolds are under alot more heat and have the weight of the turbo on it cause they dont brace them... maby the N/A ones wont crack... but maby they will.... if your looking for a header for the bp the 95 escort gt has one from the factory and if you can find one in a junkyard you can pick them up for cheap...

I have found them under escort gt's before. And i think pacesetter makes a set of headers also.

I was looking more for the 1.3L and 1.6L SOHC engines. I may do a 1.6L SOHC swap and thought it would look good and maybe provide a bit better flow. Just a thought, but it seems nobody has made one for those. Freshtiva, I think yours looks good and the one I installed on my 528e seemed to hold up well.

Have any of you seen the headers that mattdickmeyer built for his b3? I would say that you have to look no further.

^ For the same price you can get a custom header from Matt. No-brainer.
