No Weld G series transmission mounts.

Here's a little drawing of a no weld mount. It's solid but works(cross member has rubber isolators). I have the benefit of owning a welder , but here's a no weld idea for people to use. I hope it helps someone.

Rear mount




Front mount. It's just a quick sketch, and I've seen this on a few cars.

I would assume that these would be similar to hypothetical F-series no-weld's, and thus they will serve a purpose for me!

Are you sure that isn't the Escort GT rear mount? My Capri mount looks like this for the rear:



Nonetheless, should be able to use the same thing for both maybe.

Sorry to be commander buzzkill, but the Capri one won't work. It sits at a level plane and not at an angle.

I've figured out how to make due with it; you take the old rubber mount and cut the metal piece off of it and bolt the 2in box steel to it.

It would be best if you could use channel to go on both sides of the rubber mount. Otherwise it rips the rubber eventually. I ripped mine after 3,000 miles and a couple track days then had to weld 2 pieces of angle steel together for support on both sides of the rubber mount.
