  • Just another noob G5mr question.

Ok so im trying to learn as much as i can about all this. But just a quick question i was on the way home when the gearbox gave out and i was wondering if a G5mr gearbox directly bots onto a b3 engine. Im starting to prep for a bp swap but that will be some time and i still need to be able to drive for the next couple of months.

And i know its not a cable gearbox like the stock thats no problem

    Thanks.

It will bolt to the motor but you'll still have to make new mounts.

Any B-series motor will bolt to any B-series transmission with the proper clutch and transmission as far as I know. As Shore says, it just comes down to axles, mounts, and intermediate shafts in the case of the G5MR.

LOL this made me laugh. Yeah, it's a good point... I haven't had a good look at the B3 block to see.

You can make an adapter plate like Chris (Damkid) made.

BPT, G5M-R, BP26 Exintake swap + Fidanza cam gear, NSRT4 FMIC + 2.5" piping, HKS SSQV BOV, Exedy clutch, 3" downpipe + 2" all the way back, Aspire brake swap, KYB GR-2 & FMS coil spring , FMS EURO body kit + Carbon fiber hood, Falcon RTX 15X6½ + Toyo proxes T1R 195/45R15

Don't forget the flywheel. It needs to match the transmission.
