                    Gas = Engine

                    Electricity = MOTOR

                    Engines run off gas or a combustible matter. Motors run off a electrical current DC or AC.

                          I'm pretty sure its interchangeable people. Ala Ford Motor Company, DeLorean Motor Computer, General Motors, etc. I think it's just a term for something that changes one form of energy to mechanical energy, lol.
