2.5 or 3 for intake pipe

It's time to replace the intake on the Aspire. I can get 2.5 or 3" inch pipe parts in all varietys through the wonderful ebay, nothing local not even the couplers. To me sine the maf and tb is 2.5 the 2.5 piping would be better than the 3". The 3 would cause distruption's in the airflow - possible vacuum problems- where the 2.5 would be straight and smooth. Thought's anybody??

I would go with 2.5" piping easier to work with same size plus probably would work best.. -Kyle

This is the intake on my aspire. Its a 3" piece made from a 90 civic intake. in the summer i plan on dropping behind the bumper so when i get my kit the only thing between the filter and the outdoors is mesh
