  • Automatic Escort GT Donor?

I just found a 1993 one on Craigslist for $350. The guy is selling it cheap because the autotranny is slipping. I know the ecu , harness and I think intake is going to be different. Does it have enough parts to justify the buy?

Sorry I don't think I worded the question too well.

If I were to buy this what parts off a manual EGT would I need to complete a BP swap?

This is my list so far, please correct me if i am wrong.

Thanks guys. I'm going to disregard this idea. The cost of the car doesn't offset the gain of parts.

There are more things that will work on your car than just the motor. The wheels work with aspi swap, the seats will work with little mods, the calipers work, the front bumper has been done, mirrors, side skirts, dome light. That's all I thought of sitting here dropping one.

                Food for thought

Yes as soon as I find a donor EGT. I just got my festiva today.

I would get the car, that's how much I paid for my auto EGT donor car, and it now runs great. Just keep your eyes out for a tranny and some cv axles ,thats the hardest part.

a Throttle Position sensor won't set you back much and an ECU at a junkyard is cheap. I say get it dude.

My thinking is that just having a manual EGT will make the swap a lot smoother, less running and searching around for parts. Just for peace of mind. I will wait it out.
