Festyboy's right, you don't need the coolant in the intake unless you're going to race in sub freezing conditions! You should consider 4 individual motorcycle or snowmobile carbs at this point.
Canabilize one of your manifolds, get 1 foot of appropriate radiator hose for cheap, and 8 hose clamps.
Here's a little arithmatic for you too. If you use the 1.3 engine, collect 4 carbs that would be found running on say like a yamaha 650cc (twin cyl) motor, @ 2 per motor.
Somebody stop me here! Am I onto something here or what?
Admit it, it makes you want to fire up your sawzalls right now doesn't it?

Heck, grab these, they supplied a larger (1,200cc 16 valve) suzuki motorcycle they're at $99 bucks!:

Plus they've got the right flange, or technicaly no flange, which is really what I would consider to be idea for fabbing into the radiator hoses!
At $99 bucks, $2 bucks for a foot of radiator hose, and heck, get a "carb tune" carb syncronizer for another $100 bucks, (make the old man throw in with you for that, and you can hero/sync his old scoot that he knows needs it!) This is your destiny!

See!, I said it, I said "somebody stop me" but no...

Forget it, look at that picture down there...you see I cain't be stopped

just use some pipe plugs and some JB Weld.... tap the head to accept the plugs and then JB them in.
              Trees aren't kind to me...

              currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

Or measure them and get the appropriate size "freeze plugs" * for cheap, from like the local
napa store, permatex them and tap em in. Remember, how can they pop out, when after all you will have a manifold blocking their egress.

Note 57e: P.T. Barnum (the original Ring Master) would after every show, announce to the crowd as he pointed to the exit "Step Right This Way To See The Great Egress".
The majority of the crowd of course not knowing, that egress in fact, was just another word for "exit". Genius, pure genius.

                * yes, I know they're not freeze plugs, they're casting plugs, get over it!

got a set of GSXR carbs sitting at the house, waiting for a b6 to build a manifold for. can you say throttle response?

From what I have read on this site, that carb should work with a homemade adapter plate. I just got my weber carb in today. Its the 32/36 dfev, that I also have to fabricate an adapter plate.

You will need the half circle cable linkage "thingy" from your stock carb to put on the Escort carb. The Escort carb had the old ball and socket/rod type linkage. The carb shafts are the same size. Remove the idle shut down from the back of the carb (it's the round thing with a wire sticking out of it and screwed in to the carb just above the distributor advance connection) and cut the wire off and the valve rod that extended into the carb. Screw the round part back into the carb to act only as a plug. Plug all the other vacuum tubes that stick out of the carb except for the distributor one which you connect to the distributor. You may need to rework the cable mounting bracket that attaches to the valve cover to get it to line up with half circle cable linkage from your old carb. Make a trip to the junk yard and grab the Escort air cleaner unless you want to rework the Festiva one which can be done.
                        You gonna race that thing?

One question: I don't know how the water jackets are designed in the B6 head, but does it need to have the coolant flow between those two jackets to get even and proper cooling along the head? I doubt it does, but it may warrant a quick investigation. I never take anything for granted, especially on a race engine.

If so, you could probably tap the ports and install some pipe nipples and a short piece of heater hose between them. You could cut away part of the intake flange to make clearance for the nipples. If not, then just using freeze plugs & silicone to plug the jackets would work, as long as they fit tight. Either way, you'll probably make more power without the hot water flowing through the intake anyway.

I would really like to see a write up on a build like that, hell, I'd like to help put one together and make it run. I know cycle carbs in my sleep, and last year I just got a great new "carbtune" vacuum synchronizer, so I know I could make those babies work their hardest! Did I mention, I'm a veritable artist with a sawzall?
