i have been mulling this question over and over in my head about a b6. My dilemma is this, there are no b6s for sale in my area( I find that weird) anyway, then the idea came into my head, what if I were to buy an engine from my local wrecker? milage may be unknown, but thats ok. My plan was to ask if i could build up a b6 8 valve to have some serious performance,
I Have connections at machine shops that charged peanuts for work, maybe punch out the block to the safest limit available, maybe 30-60thousanths over, ( so around 1.7L) install some forged pistons, deck the head another 60 thousandths as well, lighten the flywheel abit, install a raunchier cam, and a better valve job( 3 angle, or 5?) port match every thing and polish the intakes, and of course cold air intake header and exhaust! (:albino
now my question is do i relocate the intake to the opposite side that is now on the b3?
and does it matter what b6 year i get?? from what i under stand the b6 is a direct swap.
the total point for this swap is for a daily driver and not a race car,
Let me know your comments, questions or concerns. :p
