I've entertained this idea, but do not wish to put the work involved into it.... I can stick with a 5spd and be happy.... I'll never drive an ATX, have always driven MTX and it's always been good to me...

90% of the time a 6speed has the same final gear ratio as similarly available 5 speeds. Hell, some of the older 4 speeds had better end gearing for highway driving than the 5'ers that replaced em.
No offense to a fun idea, but in reality a heavier bulky expensive transmission is the inefficient route to go if your looking for mileage.1992 Festiva... BP-T, Escort G5MR, no crossmember, aspire brakes, Megasquirt, Toyota COP's, coilovers and 6 puck SPEC clutch!
