  • black syrop inside intake manifold..?

    i have removed my intake manifold from my b6ze for some modification and i have discovered this black stuff on..where this is from?a probleme whit the pcv? why do you think?

    You mean stuff, Black stuff... Maybe your piston rings are worn. That would allow oil blow-by vapor to build up in the intake.

      That's from the PCV system.....oil vapor build-up and other nasty stuff. I've even seen cars with reasonably low mileage have a fair amount of it, and it can effect performance. You have to remember that (unlike a carb) with an EFI engine you don't have fuel running through the intake system to keep it clean. You can have a professional induction wash performed every so often as part of a tune-up. Now is the best time to clean it, while you have it apart. I try to keep ahead of it by using Seafoam every so often.

          I heard of a guy drinking vodka and then p*****g into his intake before every oil change. When the mechanic took it apart, he couldn't believe how clean it was.

            LOL Thats all good, as long as you can keep the throttle blade open and your hand doesn't slip off the throttle!
