  • MX-3 1.5 DOHC Swap?

I've got a craigslist listing that is a few miles away with a 1993 Japanese Mazda MX-3 up for sale for parts.

They say the engine runs well and I could get the whole car for less than $500.

Sound like I should snag it for a swap?

I've got an automatic, bad B3 '93 GL.

From what I've found in the forum and the internet, the swap is possible and the 1.5L engine is awesome.

Go hear it run. sounds like a good deal. You wont get a lot of support on that particular swap but if it runs on that car you can make it run on yours. the harness just wont be a cakewalk like on other engines. Id love a 1.5 dohc for a daily driver.

It's a MazdaFordnKia thing, and you will understand!

ketchup use the b6de out of the mx3, the 1.5 is not in the states as far as i know, i would look for something more common unless your good with wirring and fabrication,

I'd be worried about getting parts for a JDM 1.5 if anything went really wrong.

No word from seller anyways. I'll keep looking for a different engine
