  • Stock clutch replacement

I'm bringing home a 5-speed parts car tomorrow to swap out my ATX - I want better gas mileage and more power from my B6. What is a good stock replacement clutch? I've read here to avoid the Autozone replacements.

What are your recomendations and why?

Exedy brand, Ebay available for $100. OEM Japanese supplier (like TRW/Moog here), better quality than original Korean clutch (nothing wrong with the original, Exedy is just a bit better)

It really depends on how you drive. Some people are really hard on stuff and do stupid things. A stock clutch will hold fine but I would spend a few more $'s and get a better brand as Jim said. I have one from www.specclutch.com and it is real nice but costs $199. Another thing to consider is if you buy a cheaper clutch are you willing to change it in a year or 2?
