Diesel

I am really wanting to do a diesel conversion.

I can find RWD Mazda trucks with the 2200 in it, all over.

I wonder
1. If it will match up to any tranny we currently use in FWD.
2. If I did a RWD conversion...
3. If the engine is worth a hoot.

Of course this is to get maximum mileage out of the Festy.

There is another car for sale down the street pretty reasonable with a blown motor that would make a good candidate. But finding a suitable motor is being a booger.

Someone mentioned that he works on little diesels that are used wide open endlessly and use very little fuel to do it. Hopefully he posts here, because I can't remember who it was.
