mecury capri

Ive been searching for a long time for a motor, asking countless questions and getting some great advice, I have yet another question I see a lot about the mazda 323 1.6 swap is the mecury capri 1.6 the same and what would it take to put it in my '93 festy? Do I need the trans or will it bolt up to my stock festy trans? What all will I need to get out of the car, ( I know I need the wiring and sensors and the computer) but is there anything else?

the 1.6 capri bolts up to the festiva trans using the festiva flywheel. you use the front of engine b3 mount and brackets.

Great thank you I found one at the salvage for $125 (I have to pull it) Is that a good motor to do a swap with? You should know I drive around 100 miles a day so Im looking for a little more power mostly so I can use the a/c without using all my gas(its hot here in Oklahoma). What all will I need other than the wiring and computer?

Like I said Oklahoma is HOT!!! I like my a/c and this is the second car ive had that has it and I have grown to love it.

As for the paint scheme I didnt know there was a community that was fixing these cars up when my granddad gave the car to me, I got the car and rebuilt the motor because of all the oil leaks and by the time I was done with that I thought I will just take out this big dent and that turned into I will poke fun of the smallness of the car and spray it like a mustang but with the main part of the body flat black and put the shiny metallic as the strip, by that time I found fordfestiva.com and realized what a car I really have. The only thing I havent done with the paint is put some pin stripes on the hatch but now idk if I still want to do that.

Im moving to the interior slowly as I drive it, my interior light is an LED reverse light from a school bus I got from work (its awesome). Ive moved the radio down to the storage by the shifter and put a cup holder in it and put a kicker stereo system all thru minus a sub I just havent got there yet.
