  • Cable F-series trannies?

I am basically wondering how hard these trannies are to find. I ran a hydro f-series in my old fester and the tranny held up great with BP power but this time I would like to try and find a cable F-series. Im not sure what car they come from. Is anyone running this style of tranny and if so does the stock festy clutch cable hook right up?

I found one 3 years ago and just found another one on a 89 tracer. You can use the stock Festiva cable also.

Most were. I've got a cable f in mine from a 323. There's one in the yard now I have my eye on as a back up.

I used to run a cable f series with my old BP festiva, stock festy clutch cable, it worked pretty good lol

Sorry to dig up an older thread, but what clutch do you use? It shows a split in 1987. I know you match the clutch to the trans and its flywheel, do you just match the clutch to the year?

As far as I know that's all you need to do. I used the clutch and flywheel I pulled with the trans at the j y. I'm trying to find a backup flywheel so I can lighten it.
