IMO, one pound of isn't much, but it can add up if you are serious about it. In fact, I'm going to do as much lightening as I can when I transform Twinstiva to Speedstiva.
Plus, there is weight, and there is unsprung weight, and there is rotating weight.
Taking off one pound of rotating weight is a very good thing. It may not do wonders, and you may not be able to feel it, but it's a good deal if you're not compromising anything.
About the best place to take off weight from a Festiva would be the front wheels. That's why I will always go with the manual Aspire rotors rather than the thicker auto rotors. 1.5 pounds per side doesn't sound like much, but that three pounds total is worth a bunch more than taking off a plain old three pounds anywhere else. It's probably worth twice it's "plain old weight," I'd bet.

yeah that's what I'm trying to get at. I want to remove all possible excessive rotating weight from this engine/car. I'll be gutting it in time too. I know i can get this car to weight in at under 1500 with me in it.---------------------------------------------------

^^^that little tidbit of info would have made this thread sooo much smaller...
Sharpie had the right idea in another thread.. he was trying to get a weight reduction guide going that gives the weight of every part you could pull off a Festiva. But it got fubarred because there are like 10 weight reduction threads.. and each tends to go Off Topic.. If you guys get me a verifiable list I will post it, make it a sticky topic and lock it down so noone can clutter it up with ot junk.
