I have a 1991 ford festiva sport, i was going to remove the airbox and install a cold air intake, but my problem is the sensor on the airbox, is there any way to bypass this? When i disconnect it, it wont give the engine any fuel...

No easy way. Your car really needs this. The only way is to do a stand alone computer that uses a MAP sensor but now your talking hundreds of $'s.

I have a '90 injected Festiva and also wanted to modify my airbox and get more flow. I put in a K&N air filter. They don't list one for the Festivas but if you get K&N part number 33-2037 it will fit in. That part is for a 90-93 Chevy Beretta 3.1L V6. I also modified the airbox itself with inexpensive household plumbing pipe fittings. I cut a hole in the airbox with a hole saw bit on a drill under the level of the air filter on the inside face of the lower box. I then glued into place a few elbows to get the angle right, and a short straight pipe to increase the amount of fresh air flow into the box. It now points forward toward the grill and effectively doubles the amount of air going into the box when combined with the original air intake pipe. Pretty easy. I've got a couple good pictures, just not sure how to insert them into this post!!!
