    Some questions about this engine.
What versions of the engine were available in the US?
Was the KIA sportage the only application for this engine?
Does it share anything with the BP or B-series engines from Mazda?
Because I'm thinking to get the turbo on casper and once that engine goes boom I will get a FE3 and build it up and destroy people

I see with a turbo they are monsters...
    what manual transmissions are available?
I did a search earlier on the site.....but I think it was messed up and wouldn't give me any results on a few things such as "KIA"

Here is the old thread on it...

Members Builds (questions about repair or how to do something belong in the proper forum)

yeah, I blame the search function. I had to look up "sportage" to find it, since our lovely search won't look for anything less than four letter words, so no KIA, BPT, B6T, FE3, etc will get any results lol.
    No festiva for me ATM...

No the Kia motor has nothing in common with BP.
Bell housing is different, but a g transmission will work from Mazda 626/probe.
You will have enough trouble keeping a transmission in a Turbo BP car. Fe3n + Turbo makes for lots of power. If u want a fast street car, stay BP. If u want different go fe3n. I would get one from overseas. The Kia version has crap for cams, rwd layout means lots of parts changes to f series motors components. If u get the overseas it will be fwd already and should have a disty. Its lots of work, lots of Fab, lots of trial n error. It can be done, but will it be worth it for anything less than a racecar?
