I'm looking at a 5 speed manual with a 7/8" 20 spline output shaft (for the clutch) but needs 24 spline axles. Is new enough to have an electric speedo sender and also a hydraulic clutch config? I'm about to try and measure the axle opening, but don't think my calipers will go in far enough to take a measurement.

I think you'd get a better response by pics or there should be numbers cast into it somewhere that can be used to identify it

F series did come hydro as well, so thats a possibility

Thing is, there's no numbers cast into it, so I'm assuming the identity, once on a number plate or painted on is long gone.
So, if this is a 24 spline axle config, I can use the "inners" from a festy or aspire "auto trans"?
Don't have a way to measure the actual axle diameter at this point because all I have to compare is a protege axle (26 spline) which is to thick to even go in, and a festy (22 spline) manual stub that's way loose.

Sounds like an F-Series, probably out of a KIA or an MX-3 with the electric sender. Possibly a 95-98 Protege too.89 Festiva L Carby 4 Speed... RIP. Evicted and Scrapped. I HATE MY FAMILY
