  • Wanting to go Megasquirt

Not sure how I should go about it though.

I *do* want to ditch the Capri wiring/electronics.

Should I get a PNP kit from stratified or diyautotune? If so which one? I believe I still have the entire EFI festy harness in the car.

Needs to be an assembled unit, not a diy kit.

I think I would want to switch to bigger injectors, 460cc or so. As of now Im at the limits of stock B6T stuff (300cc).

I want to ditch the air meter crap. So IAT kit?

What sort of ECT...TPS...etc other sensors do I need to run?

Id like to run an IAC too... one big problem I have with my current setup.... no IAC.

    Somebody clue me in... fastiva....euro?

It's hard to say what you should do to convert to MS simply because of your setup, personally if you absolutely do not want to do any electronics, go on clubprotege.com and PM "Lex" he's the guy behind Stratified PNP kits, tell him your setup and that you want MS for it, he'll hook you up

As for DIYautotune, they are great to deal with, i have no complaints at all from them, but i've read if you buy their PNP kits, you still need to do a little bit of electronics work to best suit it for your setup, i could be wrong on that one so don't take my word for it, but keep it in mind at least

I guess the advantage with contacting Lex is that he can also customize your kit to suit your car..... at least i'm pretty sure he does that lol

As for ditching the stock VAF, MS has a MAP sensor, all you do is run a vacuum line to the MS unit and say good bye to the VAF :salute:

Just curious, obviously there are some variables but would you mind throwing us a number the "lex" setup would run? Thanks, kaleb.

The price varies depending on the features you want, anywhere from ~$300 to upwards of ~$5-600, roughly of course, it's been a long time since I checked his prices

Mine is from Lex. Great guy to work with.
He included base tunes for 230cc. 440cc. And 550cc injectors. Mine uses the stock efi harness and has no vaf. It was $470 with the extrs I ordered. Look on stratfield automotive.com and all his prices are listed

i love my MS1 v3.0. best decision i ever made. diyautotune is the bench mark for customer service as far as im concerned. extremely knowledgeable about their products and responds very quickly to emails.

i didnt wire in iac to my MS. i got impatient and just wanted the bare min to run. i wanna get a new MS3X and do everything right eventually but that takes $$$$.

if i were gonna do it all over again i would get the the MS 3 ecu and get the premade 8' harness. all the wires are labeled and makes is so much easier to wire in all the plugs for a clean look while keeping it simple. to get any real support from miataturbo(dot)net youll need to get the 1.6 miata CAS and set it up as if it were a miata.
I know its a piece of crap but im still faster...and its 100% legal!!!!!

I had no idea there was another company other than DIY that did this.

Currently im running a mspnp on my miata and its the best thing i did for the car.

I'm running a stock festy harness with a B6ZE DOHC engine. Im wondering if he can sell a PNP ECU that works with the stock festy harness?

I have B6T electronics but i dont even want to touch that nightmare.
