I'm going to go out on a limb and say the engine he is putting in is from an Aspire and is OBD 2 vs. the Festiva's which is OBD 0 I believe.. -Kyle

no both engines came out of festys but the other car could have been upgraded. how different would the two engines be because i took my original trans and put it on new engine and all of the wiring harness and engine mounts still work but again any input is appreciated

So what exactly is different between the two engines you have? Your first post made very little sense

sorry bout the first post. on the back side of the intake manifold the is three letters DES embossed on it in small but bold letters. my original just has DES and on the engine im putting in, it has DES 2. otherwise the two engines are identical, and i was just wanting to know what that would mean with maybe performance differences or even parts differences. i will try and get some pics onto my cardomain page if comp will let me
