  • reverse light help on bp/g series

i want to get my bp inspected tomorrow but my rev lights dont work. i thought they worked before i checked today. could it be a fuse? im pretty sure the switch is hooked up but the bottom one (which i think is the neutral switch) is not hooked up. i really want to fix this and get it inspected. any suggestions?

"When the ign sw is in RUN and the shift lever is in reverse (closing the backup lamp switch), current flows through the 15 amp METER fuse to operate the L and R backup lamps." 92 wiring manual.

run a toggle for the inspection, hide it next to your seat, and hit it when you shift to reverse. Then you get inspection cleared, and time to fix your issue

Most people who do inspections don't let the owner of the car run the lights....

Do you not know a person or friend of a friend with an mvi would can let it slide. After all it is the reverse lights....

Or you can move to NC, if they work they only have to work in R, no forward gears. But the best part is they don't have to work at all here.

But I have since gotten all the ones on my cars working, because I leave early for work and they help light up the rest of the festiva's in the drive so I don't back into my own cars.

i wouldnt mind living in nc because i hate the winters here. and indiana is even more lenient on inspection from what i know. mcnasty's seat belts didnt even work in his bp when we all met up at johns house
