Yeah, I'd definitely recommend waiting until you have an new trans lined up to drop in before upgrading clutch... Though with the bigger trans you will need a different clutch anyway. But anything grabby with a BP is very tempting to make it grab. You can ask 91mcnasty how much stock transmissions like BPs BTW, your car is SICK! Love the black and whites Other than the sides being black it reminds me a lot of my main festiva, even down to the fogs!
    No festiva for me ATM...

The stage 2 looks the same as my stage 3 from KY clutches and I got it for $180 shipped. It hasn't slipped once on my b6t.

Engagement will be a lot quicker than a stock clutch but very tolerable. My friends have always stalled when they first drive my car.

Thanks for the compliment, It's kinda like a big Lego set for me, I have more body mods goin on now and a turbo goin on soon, got to figure out the whole California smog thing out for the turbo first though, ill get some pics up soon, oh and the car gets called a converse all the time cause of the shape and color combo too, kinda funny, dunno if I want to keep the colors either, thinken all black, maybe satin and gloss black combo, would love a CF hood and than a CB roof wrap too, still thinken what I want to do....

Has anyone tried a stage one clutchnet clutch? They're rated at 280tq, and my car should be putting out about 230 chp...are there cheaper alternatives I should look into that will hold up and are spring loaded disks? ..i like smooth shifting..

Where did you get those numbers from? Because most of the stage 1 clutches I've found are only rated aound 150hp.

Edit: I was refering to stock festiva clutches lol.

Clutches don't care about horsepower, torque is the twisting force the engine produces... horsepower is merely a mathematical equation based off of torque output over a certain RPM. Engines like to detonate & grenade at torque peak, not horsepower peak Always go with torque rating on a clutch, try to give yourself a 25% cushion at minimum.

Do a b6t swap and you will be all good for smog. Get it bar'd. Or message MEXTIVA for a potential smog hook up.

Anyone have experience with RAM clutches?

I know a lot of Cobra guys who run stage 3-4-5 RAM clutches and they love them. And it's not like it's a cheaply priced clutch.
