  • Aftermarket internal 1.3L parts?

    Hey guys,

Wondering if there are any makers of aftermarket forged pistons, rods and crank?

Im debating on a higher compression N/A or a lower compression turbo motor, depends on what is available i guess as far as internals. Still need to daily drive it

    Thanks

    ...

I know there are companies that will produce custom aftermarket forged pieces to your spec, but they want your first born child to do so.(most won't even make anything unless your going to make a HUGE bulk purchase). It is just easier and cheaper to buy another engine type or just work with the stock pieces in the 1.3l. Treated right, you could net some nice horsepower gains on a 1.3 and have some fun with it and not hurt the engines longevity. Probably wouldn't see over 100hp but in the festiva, that is more than enough to be fun. Saying nothing for frying 12" tires!!!
Fast, fun and good gas mileage. 91' Festiva(RIP) and 96' Aspire(RIP). The website is no more.

stock internal will go only so far, but like gt said you can have some serious fun on a stock bottom end.

i just had to replace my pistons as i blew a hole in one, but the power increase i have seen with just new standard pistons and rings is good.

just keep the boost to about 6psi and you shouldn't have a problem
