Found another Festy but its a AUTO, how difficult to swap?

I got all excited about this one because its not too far from my house nad not that expensive and then today I figured out its a auto . Anyways, whats needed for the swap and how hard is it to find parts for it? Im thinking if im going through all the trouble of swapping trannys I might as well swap to a B6T. Anyone have a writeup on how to do that and a parts list for that? Thanks in advance.

You need a 5 speed transmission, driver and passenger side axle shafts, engine cradle with mounts, shifter rods, pedal assembly. Those are the major parts you'll need... its a pretty basic car. The automatic radiator is thicker and will cool the engine better, so you should keep that in. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. I've never owned an automatic Festiva.

I'm trying to figure out how much work it will be to convert my '98 Contour from automatic to a 5-speed... theres twice as much to change then there is on a Festiva. ECU, subframe, etc etc

it wouldn't matter if it is costing you 50 dollars, you will spend just as much money and WAY more effort/time/headache's to convert that car to a 5-speed when you could just buy a 5-speed festiva for 500-600 in decent condition.

Yeah but im having the hardest time finding one of these. The only other one I found leaked oil and they wouldnt sell it for less then $1400. Doesnt matter cause the Auto one I found wont answer my calls, I guess Ill just keep looking.
