if you have to ask what turbo you should put on your car your never gonna be able to figgure out how to do the rest of it... your gonna be in way over your head... sorry for being blunt but thats just the way it is... if turbos where easy to put on, everyone would have one... do alot research and learn all you can before you even try and put a turbo on your car... its not just cramming more air in to your engine... thats the easy part... its all the other stuff thats the hard parts...

Don't go any bigger than a GT2554. If you want a nice drivable turbo that is fairly inexpensive, get a gt1752. You could also use a kkk k03. Even a VJ11 would work pretty good, or another Rhb5 off an old Subaru (you'd just have to deal with the funky turbine flange) The gt28 will be too much for the B3, it would work but your torque curve would be very abrupt after a good amount of lag. You want to avoid abrupt boost/torque curves, as they will drastically shorten the life span of everything in between your spark plugs and the asphalt. Hope that helps.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. +1 on all of this ^
Do yourself a favor and Pick up a copy of Corkie Bell's "Maximum Boost".
It will help you to learn what we already know...no, you can't get it on your smart phone.
Here's a KKK K03 on a B6 block in an aspire. The B6 block is externally the same dimensions as the B3 block.
I may be willing to sell this complete turbo setup...the turbo, manifold, chargepipe (minus the forge bypass valve), downpipe, and all of the water and oil lines. PM me if you're interested.Last edited by iceracerdude; 04-05-2012, 01:49 AM.

Sasquatch is right though, "T28" is a general frame size, and describes nothing about flow rate, A/R, spool characteristics, etc... not the "size"
There are a dozen or more common "T28" size turbos, which one were you referring to? Journal bearing? Ball bearing?
Spend some time doing a bit more research

Model.......Motor displacement......HP
GT1241.....0.4 - 1.2 Liters...........50 - 130
GT1544.....1.0 - 1.6 Liters...........100 - 150
I was looking at this a few months ago, and decided one of these would be best. A turboed B3 should make about 95 HP, so the 1241 looks appropriate. But the 1544 is right in the middle of the displacement range, so that one looks right too. Wouldn't anything larger like the 1752 just be overkill? Also, isn't it true that the smaller the turbo, the less the lag?Last edited by TominMO; 04-10-2012, 10:04 PM.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
