i tried the search and im pretty sure they work but just want to check will the newer aspire roller head work one the older 1.3 fi blocks?

I have been assured numerous times that they work as a direct fit but make darn sure you swap over to the Aspire camshaft as well. I gather that Festy cams (ie even the FMS performance jobs) are not compatible with roller rockers.

^ correct. if you have a carbie engine, you'll need to add an electronic fuel pump as well, otherwise it's a bolt on operation.

no mines fuel injected already i just got a low mile aspire engine and was going to switch out head because mine has bad guides thanks guys

If you have bad guides then rings are on the way out as well . Might wanna change the complete engine .

my head was off of a different car i blew my head gasket and bought this rebuilt head off a guy on craigslist who screwed my because it has bad guides, but i got a whole new low my longblock from the wrecking yard i work at for 50 bucks. idk how much it cost to have one redone at a machine shop might just have it done to make sure theres no issues though
