ok ok ill be the first to apologise it was a quiet night at work n I got a bit silly.
Look, it doesn't matter if youre working with a festiva, a truck or a jet plane-COLD AIR IS YOUR FRIEND. Cold air is more dense and as such contains more oxygen for your motor to add more fuel to to make a bigger bang to make more power to go faster.. In a nutshell.
Have a look at your engine bay, find the fastest route to the outside of it from the throttle body avoiding hotter areas such as exhaust manifold. The front tends to be best as itll generate a kind of ram effect.
Decide on your materials. Do NOT leave your quality air filter.
Then, have at it! Sure scour the forums, SEARCH is your friend, get some ideas but at the end of the day it's your car, and anything you do yourself to improve upon it will be unique to you.
But honestly, really, I mean really really, id just give it a k&n or at least a new air filter and focus on the honda project. Get that thing finished and you'll have a bunch of newbs chasing you for answers and ideas.. And finish lines..
My 2¢.60% of the time it works, every time!

I understand now. I don't know of anyway to modify the stock airbox to allow for cold air intake that wouldn't be better than what is already installed from the factory. The B3 just doesn't breathe that much to be able to draw the air in that far. It also doesn't put out that much heat to notice a difference. A ram air intake would be a better idea, but again, with the stock airbox, there is a right turn going into the air filter and a right turn right after it. Delete the stock airbox and get an adapter and filter. This can be done for $25. Alot quicker and will probably provide a better benefit. The Festiva Store

Breathing is breathing and quality cold air, its better !! Under hood heat and positive
air pressure also under hood is not a problem with the B3...Now Damkid may have
a problem !
Even kinda big electric blowers have made big performance boosts. Think leaf blower
with a DC voltage boost with several small potent batteries in series when you pull
the trigger, they all recharge in parallel when not firing.
Boost can be feathered like PGM radiator fans or slammed faster than a engine can rev...Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

Just make a ram air scoop that replaces the passenger side headlight and duct it to the bottom of the air box. You can then put a light bar with some HIDs on the front and the roof.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.
