Just got a festiva!!

Well I just bought a festiva because my 63 bug blew up the tranny(I ran a 14 before I blew it up! and there is more in there with a new trans!) and I needed a daily driver. I have an 88 and from what I can tell it is carb'd so would this limit me?? I am thinking of just for shits and gigles slaping on one of my weber 44 idf carbs on it.

My question is, what can I do to make this car more fun! I can do engine swaps, just tell me what to get the motors out of. how much can the trans take?? For the right price a 15 sec 1/4 at a mile high(I live in denver CO) would be cool and a bit faster that most honduh's.

lol, if you can find a mercury capri xr2 which has 1.6 Turbo motor, swap that in, and you should be able to run 13s-14s all day long..... Im pretty sure..... That is my current project only my HP numbers will be much higher than most cars out there lol...... im gonna shoot for 400+WHP but its gonna take me a lot of time and effort and money.... i think within 2 years I can get this accomplished and smoke anything and everything....
