  • Built miata head

Well i sent my head out to BogusSvo to replace some valve stems that where cut when the port job was done, also had him clean up the ports, cut the throats, set the proper seat pressure with the Webb cams and i think he said he did something to the combustion chamber? Maybe he will chime in on here.

As stated this was a miata head, im not sure if there is much difference between the b6t and miata head if any, One question i have though is the previous owner plugged one of the coolant passages on the back of the head there use to be a rubber stop plug in it. Well it looks like Dale may have just put a freeze plug in where the rubber stop was, With me putting this in a front wheel drive i should remove that freeze plug correct?

Looks nice! (Granted I don't know what a nice head is) but the whole thing is real shiny and the ports look smooth! If your talkin about the freeze plug in the last pic, leave it there! It's got the thing jig on it that melts when it overheats..260* iirc?

The freeze plug needs to stay. The miatas run the t-sts housing out between the timing belt. On FWD it needs a freeze plug and the t-stat goes on the other end.

Hard to tell from the pics, but looks like he may have done some mild polishing on the chambers. Then again, I don't know how smooth the castings are from the factory.
